Aquasaurus or Triops Longicaudatus which they actually are called have existed for more then 350 mill. years.
The eggs of the aquasaurus can dry out completely and stay like this for almost 25 years without dying. Like this they lie waiting for water to hatch. Biologists think that this is one of the main reasons for their survival for such a long time.
In the kit you will get a fish tank, dried eggs, food, thermometer and instructions , and all you have to do is add fresh spring water (not tap water). Wait till the water is room temperature before adding the eggs. It is important that the water is kept at a constant room temperature. All in all it is quite important that you read and follow the instructions carefully.
Within 24 hours of adding the eggs to the water they will hatch and within their 40-90 days lifespan they can grow up to 5 cm in length. Some will grow faster then others . Deeply Weird !!
